· Financial Institutions
Financial Institutions provide a service as intermediaries of the capital and debt markets. They are responsible for transferring funds from investors to companies, in need of those funds. The presence of financial institutions facilitate the flow of monies through the economy. To do so, savings accounts are pooled to mitigate the risk brought by individual account holders in order to provide funds for loans. Such is the primary means for depository
institutions to develop revenue. Should the yield curve become inverse, firms in this arena will offer additional fee-generating services including securities underwriting, sales & trading, and prime brokerage.

fiscal results. For the 13 weeks ended May 5, the international gaming retailer
brought in nearly $1.3 billion in total sales and held onto $24.7 million of
that as net profit. During the same period last year, the retailer's revenues
just topped $1 billion, and its net profits of $11.7 million were less than
half of this year's first quarter. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

the company attributed to "overwhelming demand" for the <span

the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. In a conference call, GameStop chairman and CEO
R. Richard Fontaine told analysts that he expects continued shortages of <span
